Brittany Murphy
Brittany Murphy is
one of the most successful young American actors and she has played
notable roles in movies like Clueless, Girl, Interrupted, 8 Mile, Sin
City, The Dead Girl, and Happy Feet, which have all been box office and
critical successes. Brittany was born in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on November
10, 1977. Her birth name is Brittany Anne Bertolotti. Her father Angelo
Bertolotti is an Italian American racketeering criminal and her mother
Sharon is Irish and Eastern European descent.
When Brittany was just 9 years old she auditioned for the local community

with a lot of energy and a big mouth!” All these helped her to choose the
actors career without any hesitation.

She managed
to get recognition from local agencies by attending local community
theatres. During this time Sharon took Brittany to Burbank, California to
find work as living in New Jersey didn't have as many opportunities. In
California she attended John Burroughs High School and there she earned a
nickname 'Crack Baby'.
Her passion to perform was
growing stronger so she signed up with a local agency. During this period
several opportunities came her way and she was at this point a little
confused about choosing the right ones. Her first "proper" job was a
commercial for Pizza Hut when she was just 13 years old. After that she
had a minor appearance in the television series Murphy Brown (1991) she
did a few more commercials (including Honey Bunches Of Oats) and
voiceovers, until she finally got her first major role in the series
Drexell's Class (1991) as Brenda Drexell. After the short-success of the
show Brittany then had an appearance in Parker Lewis Can't Lose (1992) and
a guest role in the popular series Blossom (1992) in which she played
Wendy.
Murphy's parents divorced shortly after her birth, and she was raised in
Edison, New Jersey and Burbank, California by her single, working-class
mother. She never had any contacts from her father since the divorce.
Murphy was raised a Baptist and attended a Lutheran school, but is now a
non-denominational practicing Christian.
Murphy got her first Hollywood job when she was fourteen; it was a role in
the television series Drexell's Class as Brenda Drexell. This then lead to
another starring role in the TV series Almost Home (1993) also known as
The Torkelsons, this Disney Channel drama of a struggling family gave
Brittany the chance to go onto bigger things.
After finishing the show she immediately signed Sarah in the teenage
comedy Sister, Sister (1994-1995), and also had guest roles on Frasier
(1994), Party of Five (1994) and Sea Quest DSV (1995). |

popular roles as the voice of Luanne in the TV series King of the Hill.

Lewinsky.
Though her recent movie Little Black Book (2004) was a big flop, she
managed to produce success with the critically acclaimed Sin City (2005).

single Closest Thing to Heaven, and in August 2005, Brittany co-presented

Murphy has dated actor Ashton Kutcher and recently to a relationship with
rapper Eminem while they acted together in 8 Mile and was engaged to
talent manager Jeff Kwatinetz in 2004. Murphy's weight loss and
